An unbeaten 110-run stand between Peter Handscomb and Marcus Stoinis has steadied Australia A to 4/185 at stumps on day two against India A in Chennai.
Australia A are chasing India A's first innings total of 301, following a six-wicket haul to spinner Steve O'Keefe.
India A started Thursday at 6/221, with O'Keefe taking the last four wickets. Vijay Shankar finished 51 not out.
Australia were in trouble early at 4/75 but Victorian teammates Handscomb (75) and Stoinis (42) steadied the tourists and will resume unbeaten on day three tomorrow.
