150 jobs lost as Thrive restaurants close

Restaurant chain Thrive has been placed into voluntary administration, with 150 employees losing their jobs.

Health-focused chain Thrive has shut its nine restaurants with the loss of 150 jobs.

The company closed its Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane restaurants from Monday after KordaMentha Restructuring's Scott Langdon and Rahul Goyal were appointed voluntary administrators.

But Thrive's ready meal business is unaffected and the company has signed a heads of agreement with salad bar chain SumoSalad to explore a possible merger.
