Idris in talks with Wests Tigers

Former NSW and Australian centre Jamal Idris has meet with Wests Tigers CEO Justin Pascoe as aims to return to the NRL.

Jamal Idris could be in line for an NRL return with the Wests Tigers.

The former Canterbury, Gold Coast and Penrith centre has met with the Tigers chief executive Justin Pascoe to discuss his future, as he aims to return to the game in 2017.

Pascoe was Idris' CEO at Penrith before he headed to the Tigers last year, while Idris hasn't played the game since departing the Panthers at the start of the year for personal reasons.

"I understand the power and potential that Jamal has," Pascoe told Fox Sports.

"He's still a young man and if talks continue, he'll be a welcomed addition."

Idris, 26, has spent most the past year travelling, but has played one Test and one Origin and recently claimed he was ready to come back to the NRL.

It's also reported that he has attracted interest from South Sydney and North Queensland.
