Tyler Wright will have to wait at least another day before she can become world surfing champion, with a second successive lay day called at the Roxy Pro in Hossegor, France.
World Surf League organisers called the action off at Hossegor on Tuesday due to inconsistent 0.3 - 0.6 metre surf.
"There are little tiny waves and offshore conditions but we're going to be off for the day," Jessi Miley-Dyer, WSL Commissioner, said.
"What we're looking at for Wednesday or even Thursday looks way better than what we have now."
Outright success in Hossegor for Wright, who reached the semi-final stages on Sunday, would secure her a maiden WSL crown.
The 22-year-old will battle American 20-year-old Tatiana Weston-Webb in her last-four encounter when competition resumes, but will also become world champion if nearest rival Courtney Conlogue fails to win the event.
Conlogue reached the semi-finals after defeating Australia's Nikki Van Dijk (13.93) on Sunday and next surfs against three-time world champion Carissa Moore.
