3 die in China kindergarten collapse

Three kindergarten children have died in China when the building collapsed.

Three children died when a kindergarten collapsed in a town in China's north.

The official Xinhua News Agency says three others were injured on Saturday in the county of Yongqing in Hebei province.

A man who answered the phone at the local county government on Sunday confirmed the three deaths but declined to give more details or his name.

Xinhua says the cause of the collapse is under investigation.

Building standards for schoolhouses are lax in China.

On Monday, five middle school students in eastern China were killed after a wall along an outdoor basketball court fell on them.
