Australian boy band 5 Seconds of Summer have announced a national tour this May.
Formed in Sydney in 2011, the four-piece comprising Luke Hemmings (17), Calum Hood (18), Michael Clifford (18) and Ashton Irwin (19) gained worldwide recognition after posting covers of popular songs on YouTube.
They have since racked up 40 million hits on the website, but the band's big break came when they were asked to support One Direction on their worldwide Take Me Home tour in 2013.
Fresh from their own headline tour of the UK that sold out in less than five minutes, 5 Seconds of Summer will return to home soil to play every state capital starting with Adelaide on May 2.
5 Seconds of Summer's single She Looks So Perfect debuted at No. 3 on the ARIA chart when it was released in February. The band released their five-track EP of the same name today.
