5yo boy critical after NSW house fire

A five-year-old boy is in a critical condition in hospital after a house fire in the NSW Hunter Valley.

A five-year-old boy has suffered severe burns after a house in the NSW Hunter Valley burned to the ground.

The blaze broke out in the Singleton Heights home at 8am on Thursday, with a woman and four children aged between three and 16 escaping the blaze with minor injuries.

The five-year-old has been airlifted to Westmead Hospital in a critical condition and the blaze has been extinguished, police said.
