95-year-old NSW man on child sex charges

A 95-year-old NSW man has been charged with 22 child sex offences committed on four girls under the age of 10, between the 1960s and 1996.

A 95-year-old NSW man has been charged with multiple child sex offences committed on four girls over more than 30 years starting in the 1960s.

He has been charged with a total of 22 offences, including 11 child sex assault charges.

Police say the man's first known alleged offence was committed on a three-year-old girl in Marsden Park on Sydney's northwest fringe in 1962.

He allegedly sexually assaulted three more girls under the age of 10 through to 1996 in various suburbs across Sydney, including Schofields and Cronulla, and across northern NSW in Scotts Head, Bowraville and Lismore.

Police arrested the elderly man at home on NSW's mid-north coast last month.

He is due to face Parramatta Local Court on May 21.
