This aerial footage shows the immense scale of the prison camp, where 1.5 million were put to death by the Nazis during World War II. 

January 27 marks the 70th anniversary of the camp's liberation by the Soviet Red Army. 

This video was released by the Auschwitz musuem ahead of the anniversary.
