A saint for Sri Lanka on Pope's Asia visit

Hundreds of thousands of people have attended a public mass in Colombo to witness Pope Francis canonise Sri Lanka's first saint, the 17th century missionary Joseph Vaz.

Hundreds of thousands of people have attended a public mass in Colombo to witness Pope Francis canonise Sri Lanka's first saint, the 17th century missionary Joseph Vaz.

The Pontiff later flew into predominantly Tamil territory, calling for the pursuit of truth in the wake of the country's bloody civil war.

And as Alyshia Gates reports, he's travelling to the Philippines as part of a week-long Asian tour.
