THE SHOCKS KEEP COMING FOR THE ANDREWS GOVERNMENT
* September 2017: An unnamed MP is referred to the state's corruption watchdog amid allegations of a rort in which taxpayer funds to be used for paying printing invoices were instead used for Labor branch-stacking.
* February 2017: Speaker Telmo Languiller and his deputy, Don Nardella, stand down after the metropolitan MPs were caught claiming an allowance designed to help country politicians stay in Melbourne during sitting weeks, sparking a parliamentary audit.
* October 2016: Former corrections minister Steve Herbert is caught getting his taxpayer-funded driver to ferry his dogs Patch and Ted more than 120km between his city Parkdale home and his Trentham country residence.
* June 2016: Jane Garrett quits emergency services minister rather than endorse a CFA pay deal she believes would give the United Firefighters Union too much power.
* September 2015: A parliamentary probe is launched into claims Labor MPs misused taxpayer-funded electoral staff in its 2014 election campaign, a matter under investigation by the Ombudsman, something the government goes to the High Court to try to stop.
* June 2015: Cesar Melhem resigns as whip following allegations aired during the unions royal commission that he did a deal when he was an Australian Workers Union official that denied workers penalty rates.
* May 2015: Small Business Minister Adem Somyurek is stood down over allegations he intimidated and threatened staff. He is eventually forced to resign but denies all allegations, claiming a union plot against him.
