Abbott government flags 'safe' 2015 Budget

The federal government appears determined to make sure this year's budget contains few - if any - surprises.

After the backlash against the 2014 budget, which contained numerous measures breaking election promises, Treasurer Joe Hockey and his colleagues are playing it safe.

According to Prime Minister Tony Abbott, Joe Hockey will unveil a dull and routine budget which will not seek to raise revenue at the expense of family budgets.
