Tony Abbott hasn't indicated whether he will stay in parliament or leave politics, Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull says.
The former prime minister was absent from question time in parliament on Tuesday after being toppled by Mr Turnbull for the Liberal leadership on Monday night.
"I have had a discussion with Tony Abbott but he hasn't given me an indication (about his future)," Mr Turnbull told reporters in Canberra on Wednesday.
