Prime Minister Tony Abbott is due in New Zealand to honour Anzac troops.
New Zealand Prime Minister John Key opened the Pukeahu National War Memorial Park in Wellington on Saturday.
Mr Abbott will arrive in Wellington on Sunday to take part in a dedication ceremony for the Australian Memorial at the park on Monday.
It's Mr Abbott's second official trip across the ditch and follows bilateral talks in February.
Pukeahu has opened in time for the 100th anniversary of the landing of Anzac troops on Gallipoli Peninsula on April 25, 1915.
Mr Key said it's a fitting memorial for Kiwis to be able to reflect on the country's sacrifices for generations to come.
It took more than two years to construct the park, which has 165 trees from six different species.
This includes four native trees and two exotic types, including eucalyptus trees in the Australian Memorial.
