Online scammers have tried to take advantage of the MH17 disaster by setting up fake Facebook profiles of the Australian victims.
The Australian Competition and Consumer Commission says the profiles, which have since been taken down, direct people to blogs with advertisements, allowing the scammers to profit each time the links are clicked on.
It says the advertisements can also be infected with malware and compromise the security of computers.
The Commission's Deputy Chair Delia Rickard spoke with Adeshola Ore.
