Accused murderer to face NSW court

A man will face court in NSW after he was charged with the murder of an elderly man, who was found dead at a house in Wagga Wagga.

A man will face court in the NSW Riverina region charged with murdering an 83-year-old man.

A 48-year-old man was arrested after the elderly man's body was found with severe head injuries in a house on the outskirts of Wagga Wagga.

Police arrested him just before 3pm on Tuesday, after hauling him off a Sydney-bound train at Cootamundra Railway Station.

They say the two men knew each other.

The 48-year-old man is due to face Wagga Wagga Local Court on Wednesday.
