Four men accused of supplying shotguns to siege terrorist Yacqub Khayre will remain in custody after facing court in Melbourne.

Khayre killed hotel clerk Kai Hao, 36, and injured three police officers during a dramatic siege at an apartment in Brighton on June 5.

Father-of-two George Matte-Hado, 37, is accused of illegally selling a double-barrelled shotgun for $2000 to a middleman in the car park of a housing estate in May.

Khayre allegedly fired the sawn-off shotgun during the fatal siege.

Matte-Hado faced Melbourne Magistrates' Court on Tuesday over six charges, including two counts of unlicensed dealing of firearms.

Karl Dalrymple, 31, Corey Moore, 48, and Burak Diler, 25, also faced court accused of supplying weapons to Khayre, whose phone and laptop were analysed after the attack.

Their cases were adjourned for a month as defence lawyers read over materials handed over by prosecutors.

The four men were arrested following counter-terror raids across Melbourne in connection with the fatal siege at the Buckingham Serviced Apartments.

Police found coded text messages that referred to guns as "bicycles" and ammunition as "the things that go in and come out".

Khayre shot dead Mr Hao and held a female escort hostage before he opened fire on police, dying in a hail of return fire.

The four alleged gun dealers were remanded in custody and are expected to return to court on August 23.
