Accused WA stepmother killer changes plea

A WA man ihas changed his plea to not guilty in response to a charge of murdering his stepmother in her Perth home in May.

A young man accused of killing his stepmother in her home in Perth's northern suburbs has changed his plea.

Catalin Alin Borbil was 19 when he pleaded guilty in May in Stirling Gardens Magistrates Court via video link from Hakea Prison to murdering Sally Kaur, 57, in her Koondoola home on December 5.

Borbil was scheduled to be sentenced on September 9 but on Monday he changed his plea to not guilty.

The matter was adjourned and he was remanded in custody.
