Actor Guy Pearce avoids driving conviction

Actor Guy Pearce has avoided a driving conviction after being caught speeding multiple times.

Actor Guy Pearce has escaped a driving conviction after being caught speeding three times in two weeks.

Traffic cameras clocked Mr Pearce doing more than 20km/h over the limit in a Fitzroy Street 40km/h zone in September last year.

Within two weeks he was caught again doing 12km/h and 15km/h over the limit on the same Middle Park stretch of road.

The 47-year-old, who found fame on Neighbours before launching a successful career in Hollywood, did not appear in the Melbourne Magistrates Court on Tuesday.

He was fined $295 without conviction.

Mr Pearce has recently returned to Ramsay Street to help Neighbours celebrate its 30th anniversary.

He has also followed the musical footsteps of some of the soap's other stars, releasing his first album last year.
