Australia's world No.3 golfer Adam Scott confirmed on Monday that Zimbabwean Mike Kerr will be his full-time caddie.

Kerr caddied for Scott in late November at the Australian Open where he finished fifth and again earlier this month when Scott was tied second at the Australian PGA Championship.

After that Scott said he offered Kerr the job.

"I'm delighted that Mike has accepted my offer and I am confident that he will be a valuable member of my team for 2015 and beyond," Scott said.

Kerr has previously caddied for Ernie Els, Lee Westwood, Miguel Angel Jimenez and most recently, Thorbjorn Olesen.

Scott split with his former caddie Steve Williams after a three-year partnership, the pair deciding to go their separate ways with the New Zealander feeling he could no longer complete a full season schedule.

The partnership proved a great success over that time, Scott working his way out of a form slump to play some of his best ever golf, becoming the first Australian to win the Masters in 2013 before rising to No.1 in the world rankings.

He remained at the top for 11 weeks.

Scott and Kerr will have plenty of work to do in 2015 with the Gold Coaster at some stage needing to come to grips with a new putter as anchored strokes will be banned on tour the following year.
