Adelaide 36ers coach to face NBL judiciary

Adelaide 36ers coach Joey Wright won't defend his strking charge in person before a NBL judiciary, with a teleconference to determine his fate on Friday.

Adelaide 36ers coach Joey Wright won't defend his striking charge in person before the NBL judiciary.

Wright instead will appear before the judiciary via a teleconference on Friday, a 36ers spokesman says.

The hearing will begin at 1530 ACDT (1600 AEDT)

The dual NBL coach of the year will answer a charge of striking Perth Wildcats assistant coach Adam Tatalovich in a melee after last Friday night's grudge match between the clubs.

Tatalovich has also been charged with two offences - bringing the game into disrepute, and misconduct - after Adelaide complained to the NBL about his role in the fracas.

The NBL allege Tatalovich made physical contact and directed abusive language at Wright in a melee after Perth's won the clash between the league's top two clubs.

When Tatalovich's hearing will be held has yet to be announced.

Both Perth and Adelaide have been found guilty of breaking the league's code of conduct with the NBL yet to detail sanctions.

But Perth Wildcats star James Ennis on Tuesday was cleared of a striking charge stemming from the scuffle.
