Adelaide boy critical after school fall

A nine-year-old boy has been taken to hospital in a critical condition after falling at his Adelaide school.

A nine-year-old boy is in critical condition in hospital following a fall at an Adelaide school.

The boy tripped and fell at the Sturt Street Community School about 1.30pm on Tuesday, and ambulance and specialist medical crews worked to stabilise him before he was taken in a critical condition to the Women's and Children's Hospital, the Nine Network reports.

The Education Department said no other children were involved in the accident and staff and students have been offered counselling.
