A woman mentally scarred after her sexual encounter with an Australian Defence Force contractor who was a part of the "Jedi Council" scandal has a simple message for her offender.

"Women are not objects for you to play around with," she told a Sydney court.

"You don't own us, you don't take our bodies, you don't take our minds."

Hastings Fredrickson, 41, was part of a group of officers who exchanged degrading emails about woman and their activities in the bedroom in 2010.

The group reportedly dubbed themselves "knights of the Jedi Council".

In one instance, the former army officer, who pleaded guilty to using a carriage service to offend, secretly filmed a woman he had sex with and attached images to an email.

The court heard Fredrickson, from the ACT, put captions on the images expressing glee about what he had done.

Fredrickson's shaken victims fronted his sentencing hearing on Thursday.

"Hastings has taken so much from me, he has left me broken," one woman said in her victim impact statement.

The other victim said she was haunted by the words used to describe her in the emails every time she looked in the mirror.

The mother of two suffers from post-traumatic stress disorder, anxiety and has stopped studying.

She said she was entitled to engage in sexual activity without fear it would be shared with other people.

Fredrickson was sacked in September 2010 and now packs boxes at night for a living.

He told the court his behaviour was inappropriate and he was remorseful.

His barrister Jack Pappas told the court Fredrickson had a personality disorder diagnosis based on things that happened to him as a child.

Fredrickson will be sentenced next year.
