AFL coach's son dies in crash

The son of Hawthorn assistant coach Brett Ratten died in a car rollover outside Melbourne early on Sunday morning.

The teenage son of Hawthorn assistant coach Brett Ratten has died in a car crash.

The Hawks confirmed that 16-year-old Cooper Ratten died in a car rollover just after 3am on Sunday morning.
He was a rear passenger in the accident at Yarra Glen north east of Melbourne.

"Cooper ... received life-threatening injuries and died enroute to the hospital," the Hawks said in a statement.
