AFL confirms daytime slot for Eagles final

West Coast's preliminary final against Hawthorn or Melbourne will start at 1.20pm on Saturday week.

The AFL has confirmed that West Coast's home preliminary final against Hawthorn or Melbourne will start at 1.20pm.

That means if the Victorian team wins the September 22 clash , they can return home that night to start their grand final preparations.

The league said that sponsor Virgin has also commissioned a flight for Melbourne or Hawthorn should they win.
