The Brownlow Medal votes from round 14 will stand, despite the AFL's cancellation of the Adelaide-Geelong match.
As the game reels from the tragic death of Crows coach Phil Walsh, the league has decided that all voting from this weekend's other eight games should count.
It follows Friday afternoon's decision to call off the Crows-Cats game on Sunday at Adelaide Oval.
"Players from Adelaide and Geelong will have one less match to poll votes, which is unprecedented," said AFL legal counsel Andrew Dillon.
"But it is the AFL's view this is the best outcome from the available options and it was not proper to cancel voting.
"The AFL has determined that all voting from the eight matches being played this round should be recognised for the individuals who poll, as they have the capacity to affect this year's result."
The AFL briefly considered cancelling all remaining matches this weekend in the wake of Walsh's death early on Friday morning.
