Hawthorn leads all comers for nominations for the AFL All Australian team with six nominations in the 40-strong squad.
Captain Luke Hodge missed out but Sam Mitchell, Shaun Burgoyne, Josh Gibson, Jack Gunston, Jordan Lewis and Cyril Rioli were all nominated for the honour.
Behind the Hawks were West Coast, Fremantle and the Western Bulldogs, each supplying five names within the long list.
Just six players have the chance to hold their place from last year's team; Nat Fyfe, Robbie Gray, Josh Kennedy (Sydney), Alex Rance, Scott Pendlebury and Lewis.
Selectors will now pick their best team of 22 - with players in their positions - which will be announced in a fortnight's time.
In total, 21 players were nominated for the first time.
