Defender Marley Williams has pulled out of Collingwood's side for Sunday night's AFL blockbuster clash with Carlton because of an ankle injury.
Williams rolled his ankle during training on Friday.
"We'll see how it pulls up and assess it early next week," Collingwood's football director Rodney Eade told the club's website.
The Magpies regain premiership pair Tyson Goldsack and Steele Sidebottom. Tim Broomhead has been dropped.
Carlton coach Mick Malthouse has lost patience with Jarrad Waite, dropping the under-performing forward.
Waite has kicked 13 goals in 10 games this season.
