AFL mulls change to rushed behind rule

AFL players could be punished for deliberate rushed behinds in 2017, with the Laws of the Game committee set to consider a rule change.

The AFL is contemplating a crackdown on deliberate rushed behinds in 2017.

The league changed the rules governing deliberate out of bounds this season, putting the impetus on players to keep the ball alive.

The Laws of the Game committee is set to meet and contemplate a similar change to rushed behinds for next year.
