The Western Bulldogs have asked the AFL to investigate an allegation that information was leaked to Adelaide ahead of their elimination final.
The Crows won the match earlier this month by seven points.
After their own investigation, the Bulldogs have asked for the AFL integrity unit to look into the matter.
Bulldogs chief executive David Stevenson said they became aware of the issue two days after the September 12 season-ending loss.
He said the allegations related to "game-sensitive information".
"The club conducted such interviews and enquiries as we considered appropriate last week and as a result of those enquiries, the club has today referred the matter to the AFL for consideration by its integrity unit," he added.
"While we do not believe this matter had a material bearing on the game or the result, we believe it is appropriate to report these matters relating to integrity to the AFL for investigation."
Bulldogs captain Bob Murphy said the allegations are worrying.
"Without the facts everyone has to tread really carefully," Murphy told Fox Footy.
"Football clubs are family it's such a close knit brethren and feeling among people, I'd hate to think that was broken.
"It's hard to know what sort of information, how much it was and what kind of context."
