Brisbane captain Tom Rockliff has saved himself $1500, with a successful challenge at the AFL tribunal.

The match review panel charged Rockliff with striking West Coast star Matt Priddis, but Rockliff took it to the tribunal and on Tuesday night successfully argued he was innocent.

The Lions onballer said he was rolling out of a tackle and was trying to push Priddis away when he accidentally caught him with an elbow to the face.
