Port Adelaide's 2004 AFL premiership coach Mark Williams is one of three casualties of a cleanout at Richmond.
As expected, head coach Damien Hardwick will be backed by a new-look supporting cast next year as the Tigers look to rebound after a desperately disappointing 2016 campaign which yielded just eight wins.
Senior development coach Williams was shown the door on Thursday along with assistant coaches Ross Smith and Greg Mellor.
Williams joined the Tigers in 2012 after a stint under Kevin Sheedy at GWS.
The high point of his coaching career came when Port won their maiden AFL flag in 2004.
In other news from Punt Road, ruck-forward Ty Vickery has reportedly been offered a long-term deal to join Hawthorn.
Vickery has grown tired of being made a scapegoat for the Tigers' on-field issues according to News Corp and is believed to have farewelled teammates this week.
He is said to have met Hawthorn officials multiple times, while Geelong and Adelaide have also shown interest.
The 26-year-old was dropped twice in 2016 and missed selection in the final fortnight of the season at the Tigers.
