Richmond are increasingly confident star midfielder Dustin Martin will be fit to take on West Coast in their AFL clash at the MCG on Saturday.

Martin suffered a fractured cheekbone in the Tigers' win against Collingwood last week and could don a protective helmet to face the unbeaten Eagles.

Richmond have already ruled out Shane Edwards (hip) and Ben Griffiths (concussion) as they look to continue their own undefeated start to the season.
