Former captain Shahid Afridi has not been offered a central contract by the Pakistan Cricket Board.
The 36-year-old has not played an international match since he stepped down as skipper following Pakistan's group-stage exit at the World T20 earlier this year.
The PCB released the 30-man list on Thursday, which includes paceman Mohammad Amir following his return from a spot-fixing ban in January.
Spinner Saeed Ajmal and left-armer Junaid Khan missed out on contracts, but Afridi's omission was the most high-profile and casts doubt over his international future.
The allrounder, who was given a Category A contract last year, has played 496 limited-overs matches and 27 Tests since his debut in 1996 and has captained Pakistan in all three formats.
The PCB had delayed the announcement earlier this year after three of the four-man central contracts committee, including coach Mickey Arthur, had only recently been appointed.
The central contracts are effective from October 1 until June 30 next year.
