AirAsia boss won't speculate on jet's fate

AirAsia's chief executive says he doesn't want to speculate on what happened to missing flight QZ8501 and will focus his attention on the families of the passengers and crew.

"We have no idea at the moment what went wrong. Let's not speculate for the moment," Tony Fernandes told a press conference at Surabaya's Juanda airport, from where the plane took off.

"Our concern right now is the families and next of kin... Obviously this is a massive shock to us."
