Albanese to launch his own beer

Labor frontbencher Anthony Albanese says after a couple of months of tweaking he is ready to launch his own beer.

Anthony Albanese not only DJs in his spare time, the Labor frontbencher is also branching out into the brewing business with his own beer.

The former deputy prime minister, sometimes known as DJ Albo, will soon attend the world premiere of his brew at Willie The Boatman micro brewery in the Sydney suburb of Tempe.

"After a couple of months of tweaking we are ready to officially launch our `Albo' Corn Ale Beer," said a statement on a Facebook page for the launch.

"Come along to the Brewery and help us celebrate with Albo the beer and Albo the man. The Hon. Anthony Albanese MP."

Albanese was recently in Melbourne to attend the Reclink Community Cup.

His alter-ego DJ Albo has also played some popular DJ sets in recent months.
