All Black Ioane suffers finger injury

Winger Rieko Ioane has suffered a finger injury, which will affect the early part of the All Blacks tour of Europe.

Rieko Ioane will miss at least the first match on the All Blacks' end of year tour after suffering a dislocated finger.

The brilliant winger was diagnosed after New Zealand's 23-18 loss to Australia in Brisbane on Saturday, a match in which he scored his ninth try in 10 Tests.

All Blacks coach Steve Hansen confirmed the 20-year-old will be sidelined for two weeks, ruling him out of the opening match against the Barbarians at Twickenham on November 4.

The outside backs have been a challenging area this year for Hansen, who is without veteran Ben Smith (sabbatical) and injured trio Israel Dagg, Nehe Milner-Skudder and Jordie Barrett.

On Monday morning, Hansen unveils a 37-man squad to tour the United Kingdom and France.
