All Blacks Sevens too strong for Aussies

Australia have been outplayed 28-7 by New Zealand in the rugby sevens quarter-finals in Las Vegas.

The All Blacks Sevens overwhelmed Australia 28-7 in their rugby sevens quarter-final on the second day of the Las Vegas tournament.

Beaudine Waaka opened the scoring with an early try converted by Joe Webber shortly before Australia's Ed Jenkins was sinbinned.

The Kiwis made the most of their numerical advantage, Webber's quick feet and searing pace featuring as he crossed to give his team a 14-0 lead at the break.

Two more second-half tries gave Webber his hat-trick, with a late try to Greg Jeloudev restoring some respectability to Australia's scoreline.
