An alleged one-time Bandidos boss is set to front a Brisbane court after returning to Australia from Thailand to hand himself in to police.
Brett Pechey, the alleged former president of the outlaw motorcycle gang's West End chapter, left the country after a violent brawl at Broadbeach in 2013.
He spent more than a year in Thailand, but voluntarily handed himself over to police on Wednesday after touching down at Brisbane International Airport.
He's facing a swathe of charges including 10 counts of extortion, two counts of threatening violence and one count each of stalking and assault occasioning bodily harm in company.
He has also been charged with a number of other offences including affray, rioting, breach of bail and five traffic offences.
It's alleged he was a sergeant-at-arms of the West End Bandidos before assuming the group's presidency.
The chapter has been accused of using standover tactics to bully and threaten victims into handing over money and property.
The 26-year-old is scheduled to appear in Brisbane Magistrates Court on Thursday.
Police say dwindling funds led to his decision to return to Australia.
