A protest has been held in response to the alleged domestic violence murder of an 18-year-old woman in the New South Wales community of Brewarrina.

NSW police have charged a 22-year-old man who was due to appear in court in relation to the alleged incident.

On Thursday as many as 70 members of the Brewarrina and Weilmoringle communities marched, despite the rain, calling for an end to domestic violence and drugs in their town.
