Allenby's $US3400 strip club bill: report

Golfer Robert Allenby is reported to have run up a strip club bill totalling $US3400 on the night he claims he was bashed and robbed in Hawaii.

Australian golfer Robert Allenby ran up a $US3400 ($A4,324) bar tab at a Honolulu strip club the night he claims he was bashed, robbed and abducted, according to a US report.

Honolulu detectives continue to investigate what happened to Allenby on the evening of January 16.

Allenby may shed more light when he holds a scheduled press conference on Tuesday in Phoenix, Arizona, the site of the next PGA Tour event.

GolfChannel.com reported on Sunday it had interviewed multiple witnesses and retraced Allenby's steps after he had dinner with friends at the Amuse Wine Bar in downtown Honolulu.

After Allenby left the bar he went to Club Femme Nu, described as an adult entertainment club wedged between a tattoo parlour and a Korean restaurant, GolfChannel.com reported, citing multiple sources who were working at the premises.

Allenby was there until around midnight with "a group of friends" and ran up a $US3400 bar tab, according to the report.

Allenby suffered facial cuts and bruising to his face and claimed he was hit in the face with a fist or baseball bat and robbed.

A homeless man says Allenby fell and hit his face on a lava rock.
