As Kermit said: "It's not easy being green."

And it rings true, as lolly maker Allen's announces it's dumping Green Frogs and Spearmint Leaves because of poor sales.

The manufacturer, owned by Swiss company Nestle, says red frogs outsell their green rivals by 10 times.

Nestle spokeswoman Margaret Stuart dismissed media reports other favourites would be cut.

"Oddfellows, Sherbies and Jubes are still part of our range and we're going to keep selling them," she told Macquarie Radio on Tuesday.
