Junior mobile group Amaysim has passed the one million customer mark, six years after entering the Australian market.

Amaysim, which is also looking to enter the crowed broadband market before Christmas, said on Friday it has added more than 15,000 customers since August 18.

Amaysim and the Vaya business it acquired this year offer mobile services without lock-in contracts by piggybacking on the Optus network, which covers 98.5 per cent of the Australian population.
