Mexico's Colima volcano has erupted, sending plumes of ash and dust up to five kilometers into the air. The explosion was recorded by a permanent fixed webcam operated by Webcams De Mexico.
Ash fell on towns up to 25 kilometres away from the volcano, but no lives or homes came under threat. Air traffic control was also not affected.
The volcano is about 500 kilometres west of Mexico city and erupted also in 2013 and 2014 - recording 50 eruptions since 1585.
