The opening event of the America's Cup World Series scheduled for Sardinia in June has been cancelled following Luna Rossa's withdrawal.
America's Cup officials say the series will start in Portsmouth, England, on July 25-26.
The event in Cagliari had been scheduled for June 6-7.
Italian challenger Luna Rossa announced last week it was withdrawing from the 2017 America's Cup after a majority of teams, led by two-time defending champion Oracle Team USA, voted to reduce the size of the catamarans for the second time in less than a year.
The other two World Series events are scheduled for Gothenburg, Sweden, on August 28-30, and Hamilton, Bermuda, on October 16-18.
Bermuda will also host the America's Cup signature regatta in 2017.
