Anderson has more time in cycling role

Cycling Australia interim chief executive Adrian Anderson will stay in the role for at least another four weeks.

Cycling Australia (CA) chief executive Adrian Anderson has the role for an extra four weeks and has denied rumours he will go to AFL club St Kilda.

Anderson is the interim CEO and was supposed to finish last Friday, but he was given the extra tenure.

CA will hold their first board meeting on Friday since last November, when long-time cycling benefactor and Orica-GreenEDGE owner Gerry Ryan became the new president.

Anderson was also appointed then as chief executive.

Anderson previously was the AFL's football operations manager.

Speculation was rife over the weekend that he would become St Kilda's new chief executive.

But he told 3AW on Monday that was not happening.
