Andy Murray's fiancee Kim Sears has been left shaking her head after he joked that he might wear a kilt with no underwear at their wedding.
The Scottish tennis star was asked during an on-court interview at the Australian Open in Melbourne whether he planned to wear a morning suit or a kilt for the big day, reported to be in October.
As the crowd began shouting out their preferences, Murray jokingly told them to "relax", before adding: "I think I'm going to have both options and see what I feel like in the morning when I wake up".
He was asked if he would wear the kilt in the traditional Scottish way, and replied: "Yes obviously, proper kilt".
When the interviewer pressed him on whether that meant he would be "freeballing" - which means to not wear underwear - Murray said "exactly", before ending the inquisition.
Ms Sears and Murray's mother Judy were in the stands in Melbourne to watch his victory over Grigor Dimitrov.
Murray's fiancee shook her head and smiled while his mother was seen laughing.
Murray and Ms Sears got engaged in November after spending nine years together.
