Geelong key forward James Podsiadly faces a near-certain suspension if the AFL match review panel decides to penalise him for a weekend incident.
St Kilda defender Tom Simpkin was tackling Podsiadly on Saturday night when Jack Steven tried to apply pressure from the front.
Podsiadly stuck up his elbow in an apparent reflex action and collected Steven high.
The problem for Geelong is Podsiadly has 93.75 carryover points against his name - almost a one-game suspension.
The Cats accepted a reprimand last Monday after Podsiadly was charged with rough conduct against Adelaide's Richard Douglas.
Geelong have had a run of charges against them, meaning several players will have penalty loadings if they fall foul of the match review panel during the finals.
Jimmy Bartel missed the St Kilda game with a one-game ban for front-on contact.
Essendon midfielder Jake Melksham is already on report for rough conduct against Hawthorn tall utility Jarryd Roughead on Friday night at Etihad Stadium.
Roughead was laying a shepherd and Melksham caught him high.
The pair also had a scuffle soon after.
Hawks captain Luke Hodge is also likely to come under video review for making contact with Patrick Ryder.
Hodge was caught off balance and threw his foot out, collecting Ryder's leg.
The AFL's coffers are set to receive a boost after a melee before the opening bounce of the Fremantle-Adelaide match.
A couple of Fremantle players appeared to make a beeline to Adelaide captain Nathan van Berlo, sparking the brawl.
