Small waves at Snapper Rocks have forced another lay day to be called at the season-opening World Surf League event on the Gold Coast.
But organisers are confident that action will resume on Wednesday as the surf picks up.
"We're still looking at really small conditions so we're going to be off for the day," said WSL deputy commissioner Jessi Miley-Dyer.
"Everyone has been watching this swell coming and I think we're going to get good waves so we're going to wait. We are going to run tomorrow.
"We know that Thursday and Friday there will be something, so Wednesday we are on."
