Anthony Albanese has only one word to say over the news that Sydney Airport Corporation chairman Max Moore-Wilton planned to retire.

The men have had a long-running spat and Mr Albanese has in the past accused Mr Moore-Wilton of a conflict of interest in his position.

The statement reportedly prompted Sydney Airport staff to ring Mr Albanese's office to find out if it was genuine.
